About Omegla

Omegla is a random chat website. You open it, you pick text or video, and a moment later you are talking to someone you have never met. That is the whole idea, and we work hard to keep it that simple.

Why we built it

Most chat platforms ask for a lot before they give you anything: an account, a profile photo, a phone number, a list of interests. We thought there was room for the opposite — a place where a conversation starts the second you decide you want one.

How it works

• Choose text chat if you would rather type.
• Choose video chat if you want to see who you are talking to.
• Skip to the next person any time. There is no penalty for moving on.
• Nothing is saved to a profile, because there are no profiles.

Keeping it safe

A random chat platform is only as good as its moderation. We take that seriously:

• Reporting and blocking are one click away in every conversation.
• Video chats are monitored for content that breaks our rules.
• The service is intended for adults only.
• Behaviour that violates our terms ends in a permanent block.

What we will not do

We do not sell your data, because we do not collect a profile to sell. We do not run ads that follow you around the web. We do not gate features behind a subscription — everyone gets the same product.
